A coalition of immigrant advocacy organizations are holding a "Day of Action” in Santa Fe on Monday, February 3, to demonstrate our resistance to mass deportation.
At 10:30, we will gather at Railyard Park. From there, we will march to the state capitol.
About 11, we will rally at the east entrance to the capitol.
Beginning about 11:30, Indivisible SOS will be organizing legislative visits. We will gather inside the capitol rotunda on the east side. Join us to visit the offices of all Democratic legislators and the governor (or, of course, you're welcome to visit on your own). We will have specific information on legislative actions at that time (currently, many bills have not yet been filed).
Our message to the legislators:
- Thank You for Serving New Mexico and Your Constituents
- We need your help to:
- Protect our Neighbors
- Protect their Families
- Protect our Employers, and
- Protect our Local Economies
We will have "Know Your Rights" cards available as long as they last. You can print your own cards by downloading them from these links:
The current status of immigration rights:
As allies, there is not a lot we can do now, but we can make sure all those in impacted communities KNOW THEIR RIGHTS. It’s a small ask but can have so much impact.
Indivisible Albuquerque is a progressive activist group based in Albuquerque. They meet every Monday at 5:30 pm at O'Niells on Central and Washington.
